Polymer-based imaging agent: Interview with Prof. Mangala Srinivas

The group of Prof. Mangala Srinivas at Wageningen University & Research develops innovative imaging agents, that work across multiple imaging modalities and can be applied in a wide range of settings, from quantitative, non-radioactive cell tracking to advanced translational research. These agents consist of a polymer matrix entrapping an imaging agent and other functional cargo, enabling multimodal imaging.

Building on extensive published data demonstrating their biocompatibility and unique internal structure, the nanoparticles can now be produced at large scale and for human use. A first clinical trial is planned, marking an exciting step towards real-world application. Much of the data setting up for the clinical trial, particularly for regulatory filings, was acquired through PHOENIX.

In this interview, Caitlin Ahern of BioNanoNet Forschungsgesellschaft mbH (BNN) sits down with Prof. Srinivas to discuss their results and the benefits of working with the PHOENIX Single Entry Point (SEP).
