Expert Interviews: Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control

One of the most challenging steps in (nano)pharmaceutical development is the scale-up and reproducibility of the production process of nanomedicines.

To be able to achieve the industrial manufacturing stage of a nanomedicine, some hurdles need to be overcome:

  1. lack of batch-to-batch reproducibility during the process of manufacturing (i.e., passing from low-volumes needed at R&D level, to pilot scale and/or to industrial level),
  2. long-term stability of the products,
  3. the complexity of the manufacturing process and
  4. sterile conditions maintenance through the whole manufacturing process.

PHOENIX-OITB offers its customers GMP and non-GMP manufacturing and quality control for the development and manufacturing of nanoparticle formulations.

Alba Cordoba of NANOMOL Technologies describes the manufacturing and quality control services of the PHOENIX-OITB and their benefits for customers, as well as NANOMOL’s role in demo cases.
