Moreover, the knowledge on physico-chemical characterisation that the service providers have acquired allows them to potentially develop new analytical methods, if needed, tailored to the specific nanomedicine/nanomaterial to be analysed.
In PHOENIX, ICMAB-CSIC provides its combined expertise and facilities for the design, preparation and physico-chemical characterisation of nano-pharmaceuticals focused on lipid-based nanovesicles.
Elisabet González Mira of ICMAB-CSIC discusses the phys-chem services provided by CSIC, as well as their experience bringing together these services with the in vitro and in vivo testing services of PHOENIX-OITB partners within the demo case on Nano-GLA for Fabry Disease. CSIC also provided phys-chem characterization in one of the Open Call projects.
