The research group from Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (IMROH) led by Dr. Ivana Vinkovic Vrcek presented PHOENIX-OITB at the 10th Symposium of Pharmacy and Medical Biochemistry Students (FARMEBS 2022) on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb.
Dr. Vinkovic Vrcek leads the “Regulatory Support” Work Package in the PHOENIX project, and the group she leads also participates in the development and application of in vivo and in vitro methods for assessing the safety and effectiveness of nanomedicine.
During the workshop, Dr. Vinkovic Vrcek, PhD students Nikolina Peranic and Ivan Mamic and postdoctoral student Dr. Maja Beus presented the PHOENIX project in more detail, as well as the activities and methods that are developed and used as part of the research work of the group.
Roughly 25 students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry participated in this workshop and have shown significant interest in various aspects of both PHOENIX-OITB and other activities the IMROH research group. These students are future healthcare providers and future participants in various fields of pharmaceutical industry, and this was a great opportunity for them to learn about research, development, regulatory support and other segments of nanopharmaceuticals.
